Christmas Gifts for Teachers

I've been working on the gifts for our teachers.  As the room mom, I usually collect money for a gift card but also like to give a sentimental something too!

This is the sentimental gift for my 2nd grader's teacher.  I found this awesome wooden Christmas tree at a craft show and just knew I had to have it!  I got some mini clothes pins, painted them white, and glued them to the tree.  Then I punched 2.5" scallop circles out of scrapbook paper.  I am going to attach a 2" circle picture of each child in the class to the scallop paper and secure with the clothes pins.  So she will have a tree full of her student's faces!  And she'll be able to change out the pictures every year if she wants!  It turned out super cute!

This is the sentimental gift for my 5 year old's preschool teacher.  I found this white platter at Homegoods.  I used green acrylic paint to add the kids' handprints in a circle.  Then I secured the red ribbon bow with hot glue and added the year using red vinyl and my Silhouette Cameo.  Also, on the back, I added the teacher's name in red vinyl and thought I might get the kids to write their names on the back too.  It's an adorable gift!
